Black Myth: Wukong features some challenging encounters, and maintaining your health during battles is crucial. Awaken Worm Wine #1 – Black Wind Cave
After defeating the Black Wind King boss, return to the Cave Interior Shrine in the Black Wind Cave area. From the shrine, enter the boss arena and immediately turn left. You’ll spot a green glowing pot—break it to obtain the first Awaken Worm Wine.
Awaken Worm Wine #2 – Yellow Wind Formation
The second Awaken Worm Wine is located near the Valley of Despair Shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation area. Start at the shrine and head into the cave. Follow the path opposite to where you battled the First Prince of Flowing Sands, and you’ll find another green glowing pot. Destroy it to collect the second Awaken Worm Wine.
Awaken Worm Wine #3 – Shen Monkey’s Wares
The third Awaken Worm Wine can be easily obtained by visiting Shen Monkey during Chapter 3. Check his updated wares, and you’ll find he has one available for purchase. If you’ve already obtained the Ryui Scroll and unlocked Zodiac Village, note that Shen Monkey has relocated his services there.
Upgrading Your Gourd
You won’t be able to upgrade your gourd until you meet a friendly NPC named Shen Monkey, found towards the end of Chapter 1. If you’re having trouble locating him, refer to our Gourd Upgrade System Explained guide for assistance. Once you’ve found Shen Monkey, you’ll need to collect Awaken Worm Wines, usually hidden in green glowing pots, to begin enhancing your gourd’s healing potency.
