UPDATE:

The user “billsyliamgta” has officially retracted his earlier statement regarding the release of GTA 6. Two days ago, the account claimed that the highly anticipated game would be delayed until 2026, citing an unverified source. However, this information has since been debunked, and the user has issued an apology for spreading misinformation. In his apology, he explained that he genuinely believed the details to be accurate and would not have shared them otherwise.

Despite the confusion, Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that GTA 6 remains on track for its expected 2026 release.

EARLIER POST:

It has been nine months since Rockstar officially announced Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), one of the most highly anticipated video games in history. However, recent rumors suggest that Rockstar may have delayed the game’s release internally.

According to a credible source on X (formerly Twitter), known as “billsyliamgta”, GTA 6’s launch has reportedly been pushed back to mid-2026. Even more concerning for PC gamers, the same source claims the game could face an additional 12-18 month delay for its PC version. This information has allegedly been corroborated by multiple developers across two of the studios involved in GTA 6’s development.

Despite these claims, it’s important to note that no official statement has been made by Rockstar or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive. Until either company provides confirmation, these rumors remain speculative. For now, fans are left hoping that the news is unfounded, eager to get their hands on the next installment of the iconic series sooner rather than later.
